Inform, Empower, Encourage

The mission of Buffalo RPM is to empower people with autism and related disabilities with Rapid Prompting Method (RPM).  RPM is a learning method that leads to communication.  Through age-appropriate teaching and the use of multi-sensory prompts to engage the student, RPM provides a means to demonstrate knowledge, understanding, reasoning, and thought which can lead to growth, self-expression, and fuller participation in society.

Inform

We promote the idea that every person is competent and capable of learning and can demonstrate this with the right supports.  We strive to inform the public about Rapid Prompting Method (RPM) as an effective means to help individuals who lack reliable speech to communicate.

Empower

We aim to empower both individuals and their families with the knowledge and means to implement RPM in their daily lives.

Encourage

We encourage and support families by building community and sharing resources to help individuals using RPM reach their full potential.
