We have partnered with Mason's Mission Foundation, a nonprofit formed to assist families with special needs to have a full access playground to host a Family Picnic. They are generously providing hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and bottled water in a covered picnic area next to the playground. Buffalo RPM will also be providing additional snacks, side dishes and desserts.
Come join us for the summer edition of our monthly communication group. We will be face timing with the social group from RPM Cincinnati to give our kids a chance to get to know some other RPMers around the country. Should be a great event!
Soma Certified RPM practitioner and occupational therapist Amy Brennan will be giving an Introduction to RPM presentation Thursday, June 10th. She will talk about the basics of RPM, how to get started and how she has incorporated it into her Cincinnati, Ohio occupational therapy practice as well as how they are using it in schools in her area. It's an amazing opportunity to hear firsthand about how RPM has made a difference in so many students lives. She will have slides and videos to show her work. Amy Brennan is a Soma certified practitioner and will be conducting a 3-day workshop. She has availability to work with up to ten different students. If you sign up for sessions (3 session minimum), you will receive a video of all your sessions, a personalized lesson plan, and a follow up Skype session with Amy. Please join us on Sunday, April 22nd from 4pm - 6pm for our first annual bowling fundraiser to benefit the programs of Buffalo RPM. For $120, you get 2 hours of bowling, shoe rental, a large cheese and pepperoni pizza, a basket of fries and a pitcher of pop. There will also be a basket raffle, 50/50 raffle and large item raffle. There will be drinks and additional food items available to purchase at the bar in Kegler's restaurant inside the bowling alley. Net proceeds from the event will go towards funding for our programs. These include workshops with RPM practitioners, social outings, parent support group, scholarships, startup kits and communication groups. Please come and support these amazing programs!
We are sponsoring a 2-day workshop with Lenae Crandall. She will be working with seven different students who will each receive four 25 minute sessions with Lenae over two days. February 2nd is Sensory Night in partnership with Autism Services, Inc. Admission is $14 for adults, $12 for seniors (62+) and students (13+), $10 for Botanical Garden members, $6 for kids 3-12 and kids 2 and under are free. Tickets are available online at www.buffalogardens.com and also will be available at the door.
